Vocational High School of Tourism “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” in Plovdiv (PGT – Plovdiv) is а successor of the Technical School of Public Catering, founded in 1949. The School is a state educational institution and provides education in five professional fields: hotel management, catering, travel and leisure, culinary products and beverages, confectionery products. 61 motivated teachers constantly promote its image of a modern educational institution. There are 756 students at school from Plovdiv and the region. Тhe curricula rely on apprenticeship in hotels, restaurants, pastry shops, catering events, etc. which the school has a contract with. PGT – Plovdiv is a developing and modern institution, a leading school in the region.

Our mission is to provide authentic learning and we encourage our students to participate in international projects, programs and trainings. During the last 10 years 156 students and teachers took part in more than 20 meetings on various project topics in 15 countries. In the regional competitions of the Euroscola program our school teams won quota in 2013 & 2017. Our school is vocational and provides excellent and modern education with support to each student and his aspiration to creative and personal development. It is our responsibility all students to succeed and achieve their potential.
